Andrea Davis

Andrea Davis is an accomplished Canadian film, television, and stage actor. An established presence across Canadian and international screens, she has built an extensive resume spanning major studio television, independent cinema, and global theatre. Davis is best known for her work in the Amazon Prime hit science-fiction series The Expanse where she plays Admiral Tesfaye, as well as her role as Mrs. K in Star Trek: Short Treks. Her extensive television filmography includes notable guest and recurring appearances on acclaimed dramas such as Orphan Black, The Girlfriend Experience, Mary Kills People, The Firm, Rookie Blue, Hudson & Rex, and Murdoch Mysteries. On the big screen, Davis earned critical recognition for her standout performance as Sal in Thyrone Tommy's feature film Learn to Swim (2021). The project was selected as part of Canada's Top Ten at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and went on to secure a 54th NAACP Image Awards nomination for Outstanding International Motion Picture. On stage, Davis has toured internationally with Recent Experiences (Europe, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong) and performed at major venues, including starring roles in Heaven (World Stage Festival), Intimate Apparel (Grand Theatre), and Romeo and Juliet (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre). She also co-wrote, produced, and starred in Cement Shoe Tarantella at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Notably, Davis headlined Black Theatre Workshop's most successful play in its 52-year history, starring as Daphne in How Black Mothers Say I Love You at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal.
