Renata Jones

Award-winning film director, member of The Brazilian Academy of Cinema, Renata Jones is also a screenwriter and producer with a lifelong passion for cinema. Her deep connection to the seventh art is evident in her works, which draw strong inspiration from German Expressionism and legendary filmmakers such as Hitchcock, Fritz Lang, Murnau, Sidney Lumet and Kubrick. Her films include 'We, Brothers' and 'The Outsider'. She is currently set to shoot her next big projects, 'Harriet' and 'Memórias'. ​Jones likes to explore themes of identity, belonging, and perception of reality, which is the concept of 'The Outsider'. She blends psychological elements with a captivating narrative and focuses on creating tense atmospheres. In 2025, she won the Best Director in an International Short award at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival for 'We, Brothers'.
